Charge a card fee that isn't counted as tax

A tax rate can now be marked as a fee — a card surcharge, service charge or processing fee. A fee is charged on the whole bill including tax and delivery, prints on its own line, and is kept out of the tax you report as collected.

• Tick "This is a fee, not a tax" on any rate under Settings → Tax.
• A fee is charged on the whole bill, so it no longer comes out at 0.00 when your items already carry their own tax rate.
• Optional: have the fee added automatically to new orders that allow card payment, from Payment Gateways.
• Your Tax Summary reports fees apart from tax and leaves them out of Net payable.
• Nothing changes until you mark a rate as a fee — orders you have already sent are never touched.
